Bunk Beds are so nice if you are looking for some additional space in a room or if children need to share a room. Kids love them and they come in such a variety of styles. However, one drawback of bunk beds is the bedding issue. They are hard to make and hard to keep looking nice. Covers come off in the middle of the night and fall to the floor. Bedspreads drape and hang from the top bunk. That's why you need a Hugger.

Huggers, sometimes called Bed Caps or Snugglers, are simply fitted comforters designed for bunk type beds. The bottom end of the hugger is fitted to stay on the mattress better. Since bunks don't have that box spring to cover up, there is no need for bed skirts or “to the floor” bedspreads. The only thing you need to cover is the mattress. So, a fitted snuggler is perfect for that. It will give your bed the appearance of the comforter being tucked in all the way around the mattress

Bed Caps make “bed making” easy. Simply pull the bed cap up to the pillow, throw a sham on and viola, a neat and tidy looking bed. Even if the bed is lounged on through the day, a fitted comforter will stay in place better to keep the bed looking neat.

At nighttime, when tossing and turning can sometimes send regular bedding down one level to the floor, a snuggler will still be in place on the top bunk. Climbing down the ladder at night to retrieve your covers can be risky if you are half asleep and it's dark in the room.

Loose bedding hanging from the top bunk can cause a serious safety issue. If your child happens to fall and get entangled in the bedding, it could cause strangulation. Bed caps are fitted to the mattress eliminating any bedding below mattress level.

Huggers are not just for bunk beds. These bed linens are great on loft beds, captain's beds, even regular beds that have a wide wood frame that covers the box spring. They work with any bed where you don't want or need the extra fabric hanging down to cover part of the bed. Be creative and show off the bed frame.

Finally, many people feel they can save a few dollars here and there by using something they already have or can get from someone else. But when it comes to bunk bed linens, it is worth that little bit of extra money to buy the right bedding. It makes all the difference in how you bed looks, how safe it is, and how much less frustrated you will be with it. It will be money well spent to keep your bunks looking their best. They might even look as good as those images of bunks that sold you on a bunk bed in the first place.
