I read this book at the age of 21, during June 2008. Reading the title alone is enough to stir immense curiosity inside of me. It was during the few final weeks of the trimester. But I swear I could not take my eyes off this book at any time of the day. I had preferred reading The Game over my engineering curricular syllabus. Such was the level of intensity after reading the first pages of The Game.

Story starts off when Strauss (author) is given the chance to write articles on dating for men. He then stumbled upon ‘Mystery', a self proclaimed world greatest pickup artist. They soon became best friends. The book tells us the history and happenings and technologies of the pickup industry at that time. Being a fresh industry, students are brought into 3 day training program called a boot camp (popularized by Real Social Dynamics) to heighten their skills with women immensely.

Among many stories and endeavors that Strauss and his fellow pickup artist friends face, the most memorable being Project Hollywood. It was a center of training for aspiring men wanting to learn dating skills from the best, ‘Mystery'. There were also many field reports by highly skilled men like ‘jlaix', ‘Tyler Durden', ‘Herbal' besides Strauss himself. Threesomes and multiple one night stands are what you can find reading about in The Game, aside from its methods and technology at that particular time.

Personally, for me, I have to say that reading this book by Strauss had changed my life for the better. It can steer you in the right direction of becoming a more attractive and more importantly, masculine man. Like it did for me, I am now improving my life as a personal development agenda in all areas of life.

I highly recommend that you read it, only if they are sample pages. By reading a story of his (Strauss) life journey, one can learn so much and apply to his own.
